Youth Ministries

Youth Department Mission

The mission of the Youth Department is to train young people in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is our desire that through proper mentoring, appropriate activities and meaningful Bible study our youth will learn to apply Godly principles to every area of their life.

High Achievers

Students are recognized each grading period during morning worship. These students have received a 3.0 or better grade point average or improved by 1.0 grade point. Academic Achievement forms must be filled out in the church office.

The nursery is a nurturing place where caring adults show children God’s love in an educational, warm, clean, and safe environment. Children from six months to five years may use the nursery. It is open each Sunday from 10:30 AM until after morning worship and during special events and activities.

Children’s Churchyouth

Taking to heart Jesus’ own love for the children, Mt. Calvary seeks to provide a comprehensive caring ministry for children. Children from six to twelve years of age are encouraged to attend Children’s Church on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month. The curriculum engages each child in learning activities that help them express their faith in Christ.

As we shape our teens to shape our world, we hope to provide interest through “TEEN-TALK”. Teen Talk allows us to connect with our teens through a series of discussions that teens face each day. Teens from thirteen to seventeen are invited to take part in this lively discussion each Wednesday during Christian Family Fellowship (CFF).

Belief Praise Dance

Belief Praise Dance Ministry serves to glorify God through dance. Each participant must attend Sunday School at Mt. Calvary and be between the ages of seven – twelve. For more information, please call the church office (865-524-5912).
